Innovating in Fashion Is Learnt with SDA Bocconi's Summer School
In a period of great competitiveness, and with difficulties in growth in markets, innovation is a fundamental lever for companies to be able to emerge and grow. To understand the secrets and expertise needed to activate and manage innovation in the fashion sector, the SDA Bocconi School of Management has created a 5-day international program on the topic, 'The Italian Fashion System: Managing innovation for growth’, to be held at the campus in Milan.
The summer school, in English, will start on 30 June and begin with an overview of the Italian fashion system and the trends of the sector, including a field project and survey on innovation in fashion and luxury retail in Milan. Attention will then turn to the topics of innovation in production (such as the use of 3D visualization techniques), in communication (such as the use of social media) and in distribution (for example the use of in-store technologies to integrate online and offline). A specific focus will then be given to the challenges which are reshaping the industry: digitalization and sustainability. Detailed discussion will in fact be given to how to approach digital innovation and to the paths to follow to become a socially responsible company.
The course will include lessons in class by SDA Bocconi faculty, case studies, guest speakers from industry leaders and visits to companies and concept stores. The cost of the initiative is €900. For information and application (by 20 June): http://www.sdabocconi.it/en/site/summer-school
The initiative is part of the Milano Summer School project launched by the Milan City Council, which involves a group of Milan universities and schools organizing courses for students from around the world for the summer months.
