FT Ranking: Bocconi's Graduate Program in International Management Leaps to 12th in the World

THE UNIVERSITY CONFIRMS ITS TREND OF GROWTH IN THE INTERNATIONAL TABLES, IMPROVING BY FIVE PLACES IN THE MASTERS IN MANAGEMENT RANKING

With a leap of five places, which positions it in 12th place in the world in the ranking of Masters in Management published in the Financial Times today, the Master of Science in International Management confirms Università Bocconi's positive trend in the international rankings. In recent months the MSc in Finance moved up 12 positions and the MBA rose eight places in their respective rankings of the British daily.

Evaluations for the ranking are based on a series of criteria, including the placement of graduates, students' international experience during the Master of Science and alumni progress in terms of salary and career. Of the individual criteria, the Bocconi program particularly stand out for the the international mobility of graduates (ranked 4th in the world).

Bocconi is also present in the ranking with CEMS, a program it was a founding member of, which placed 5th.

"This new important acknowledgement given by the Financial Times to our Master of Science programs is a source of great satisfaction, since competition is very high and the names of prestigious universities are increasingly numerous," says Stefano Caselli, Vice Rector for International Affairs at Bocconi. "This represents an acknowledgement of Bocconi's determined effort to render its graduate programs even more attractive to students who look for a global and valuable prospective in all the various components of a study program, from teaching, to placement, to international opportunities.”

"We are very happy with this result, which rewards first of all the students and acknowledges the effort and commitment of our university in attracting them, selecting them, teaching them and creating the conditions so that they can operate in an ever more complex global context," says program director Fabrizio Perretti. "It is an important acknowledgement of the program's ability to be an international point of reference and a further incentive to improve."

In the rankings based on alumni evaluating teaching, a criterion that is not used in the general ranking, Bocconi placed 3rd in the world for international business courses and 4th for corporate strategy.

In June, Bocconi entered the top 10 of the Masters in Finance ranking, moving up 12 positions to reach 8th place.
