MBA, an Intense Week for the New Class and Director

THE OPENING WEEK OF THE 40TH EDITION OF THE MBA, WITH NEW DIRECTOR STEFANO GATTI, TO ALLOW THE NEW CLASS TO GET TO KNOW THE SCHOOL AND ALL ELEMENTS OF THE PROGRAM. TODAY A MEETING WITH BEPPE SEVERGNINI

An intense debut for the 89 students, of 29 different nationalities, of the full-time MBA program at SDA Bococni, amd for the new director Stefano Gatti, with the Opening Week, organized so as to welcome them and get them acquainted with the school, the faculty, the curriculum and their classmates.

“A ‘technical’ welcome to kick-start the program and open a window on the Bocconi universe,” explains Gatti, who succedes Gianmario Verona at the helm of this 40th edition of the program. “It is important that a complex and articulated progam like the MBA gives a clear indication of the universe of the program and the school and of all the important elements, from the staff to the services, from the alumni network to the faculty.”

After an opening welcome dinner, the week kicked off yesterday with various meetings to get acquainted with the school, the administrative staff, the resources available, clubs and associations. The day ended with a meeting with Luca Garavoglia, alumnus and Chairman of Gruppo Campari. Today the students were given the opportunity to get to know their classmates and their different cultures and this evening journalist Beppe Severgnini will explain, especially for the benefit of the foreign students who make up 2/3 of the class, characteristics of Italy, Italians and Italian culture. Tomorrow is reserved for learning about career prospects, by getting to know the SDA career service and the day will include some teambuilding exercises, through brushstrokes, in the Art Lab of SDA Bocconi whilst Friday will provide a taste of what awaits the students in class with a sample lesson and case study. The week will then finish at the Berlucchi winery, in the Franciacorta wine region.
