Bocconi Legal Papers Lauches its Seventh Call

PAPER SUBMISSIONS FOR THE NEXT VOLUME OF THE ACADEMIC REVIEW EDITED BY LAW STUDENTS HAVE STARTED

Selections for the articles to be included in the next Bocconi legal papers hard-copy are now open. The semestral review is aimed at enhancing research and spreading knowledge on legal matters through the publication of academic articles. For its seventh edition, expected for June 2016, the review is collecting papers on the theme “Law and Business: Profiles of European law”, an idea born thanks to the collaboration with Professor Andrea Biondi of King’s College London.

The call for papers addresses, as always, exponents of the academic world, as well as Ph.D candidates in legal matters and practitioners (lawyers, judges, notaries); particularly innovative and quality contributions by law students may also be taken into consideration.

Bocconi legal papers (Blp) was founded in 2008 upon the initiative of a group of students. “The journal structure is inspired by American law reviews, whose Editorial Board is composed of students, in our case students in their third, fourth or fifth year of law studies at Bocconi”, says Alessandra Moroni, editor in chief of Blp and Law student, “The idea was to mix the American model with the European one, represented by peer-reviewd journals and characterized by the presence of an Advisory Board made up of Professors”, she explains. So, besides the goal of encouraging research on legal issues, the journal has also other objectives, such as offering an important educational opportunity to the students on the board and renewing the spirit of scientific reviews through an attentive editing made by students. “The students in the Editorial Board collect and edit the articles which are then subjected to a scientific control by the professors and experts of the Advisory Board”, concludes Alessandra.
