FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS, THE RECTOR OF UNIVERSITA' BOCCONI WILL LEAD THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK WHICH GATHERS 29 OF THE WORLD'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES AND 60 MULTINATIONAL COMPANIES

Andrea Sironi, Rector of Università Bocconi, has been named Chairman of CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education, for the next two years. Sironi, who will be sworn in to his role on Saturday in Brussels during the CEMS' annual meeting, has been nominated by a committee of academic, corporate and social representatives from the CEMS network.
 
Established in 1988, with Bocconi among the four founding partners, with the aim of setting a global standard of excellence for pre-experience education in management, CEMS today is an alliance of 29 of the world's most prestigious universities and business schools, more than 60 multinational employers and four social partners. An alliance which has grown over the years thanks to the success of the CEMS Master in International Management, the joint degree offered by the partner schools.

"I am very honored about this mandate which I accept with great enthusiasm, both personally and as a representative of one of the founding members of the network," declares Sironi.
