Video/Startups, a challenge and an opportunity for universities and business schools
A FUNDAMENTAL ROLE IN SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING STUDENTS, EVEN THROUGH CONCRETE INITIATIVES SUCH AS INCUBATORS AND MARKETPLACES, AS EXPLAINS STEFANO CASELLI IN #EDUBLOG, THE BOCCONI VIDEO BLOG ON TOPICS OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Europe and the US are seeing the third wave of start-ups, more mature, with an incredible amount of liquidity in the markets ready to invest in entrepreneurship. The moment is thus very fertile for start-ups and this represents a great challenge and opportunity for universities and business schools – as explains Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs, Bocconi University, in this second episode of #EduBlog, the Bocconi video blog on topics of higher education.
Universities and business schools can in fact play a critical role in the ecosystem of start-ups. Firstly, convincing students that the option of entrepreneurship can be the right one, supporting the international mobility of students and providing the instruments and infrastructure to help develop start-ups. In a more concrete way they can then develop accelerators and incubators to help students found their start-ups and organize marketplaces to help them identify the best investors.
